Patty McCarthy, M.S. (she/her) is the chief executive officer of Faces & Voices of Recovery, a national recovery advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. A longtime recovery advocate and systems leader, she brings over 20 years of experience in public policy, community mobilization, and peer based recovery support.
Patty previously served as Deputy Director of SAMHSA’s BRSS TACS initiative at the Center for Social Innovation and spent a decade leading Friends of Recovery–Vermont, a statewide recovery community organization. She has been instrumental in advancing national accreditation for recovery community organizations and strengthening peer support and workforce standards.
A sought after speaker and facilitator, Patty brings a powerful blend of professional expertise and lived experience to conversations about leadership, recovery advocacy, and systems transformation. She has been in long term recovery since 1989.
