Advocacy Alert: PreventionWorKS and Prevention Advocacy Day for Kansas next week

January 12, 2023

On January 18, gear up for Prevention Advocacy Day at PreventionWorKS! Hear from advocacy experts with advice and tips on how to be effective while speaking with elected officials and learning about upcoming prevention-related legislation.

Then join the Kansas Prevention Collaborative on January 19 for Prevention Advocacy Day at the Capitol! In the morning, hear from an elected official about how to get your message across, share your reason for advocacy, and continue preparing to meet with your elected officials. Lunch is provided at the Capitol, and we encourage you to meet with your elected officials in the afternoon. Making appointments in advance is strongly recommended.

PreventionWorKS and Prevention Advocacy Day will help prepare you to feel confident advocating. Participants will have a range of advocating experiences and will be encouraged to support one another in building these skills.

You can register for the events here!
