This engaging and practical webinar is designed for both new and experienced clinical supervisors, offering essential insights, strategies, and tools for fostering growth, ensuring ethical integrity, and promoting high-quality care. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to elevate their supervisory practice within behavioral health settings.

It goes beyond administrative oversight to highlight supervision as a cornerstone of client safety, ethical behavior, clinician development, and a supportive organizational culture. Participants will explore how supervision functions as both a mentoring and evaluative process—balancing growth with accountability.

We will then compare three widely-used supervision models: Developmental Models, the Discrimination Model, and Reflective Supervision. Attendees will compare these approaches and learn how to align their supervision style with the supervisee’s experience level, the clinical setting, and specific goals of the relationship.

Recognizing the complexity of real-world supervision, the presentation addresses common challenges supervisors may face. To support ongoing excellence, attendees are introduced to practical tools and resources for effective supervision. These include supervision agreements, evaluation templates, note-taking formats (like SOAP), and technology platforms that support remote or hybrid supervision. Tips for maintaining consistency, organization, and legal compliance are also covered.

Attendees will walk away with actionable strategies, a deeper appreciation of their role as supervisors, and a renewed commitment to supporting both clinical excellence and clinician well-being.
