Advocacy Alert: AATA Supports CA AB-2214 and NJ A3607

April 5, 2018

With the opioid crisis getting national attention, many states have introduced bills to create voluntary certification through a state organization affiliated with the national standard-setting organization chosen by DHCS.

New Jersey introduced NJ A3607 on March 12, while California introduced AB-2214 on February 12.

BHAP supports both of these bills and the legislative efforts to add legitimacy to treatment facilities and curb unethical practices.

Please contact either Assembly member Vincent Mazzeo for New Jersey to show support of NJ A307, or Assembly member Freddie Rodriguez for California one to show your support of AB-2214.

A reminder that if you are a BHAP member, you can access FAQs for both New Jersey and for California which include updated summaries of state laws and regulations.
