Advocacy Alert: California: show your support for AB 348 and AB 815
September 18, 2025
via California Behavioral Health Association (CBHA)
Our partner, the California Behavioral Health Association (CBHA), has two sponsored bills that are now on the California governor’s desk. If you live or operate in California, we highly recommend you write a brief letter of support to help push these bills across the finish line.
AB 348 – Full-service partnerships: this bill expands access to crucial behavioral health care for Californians most at risk, including individuals experiencing homelessness, people exiting incarceration, and those with substance use disorders.
AB 815 – Vehicle insurance: vehicle classification: this bill protects social service providers from unfair auto insurance classifications, ensuring service continuity for the communities that depend on them.
You can email your position letters to leg.unit@gov.ca.gov. You can see a support template for AB 815 here, and a support template for AB 348 here.
A reminder that we partner with a number of state-based organizations, since legislation varies from state to state. Additionally, if you are not aware, we are hosting a federal advocacy update webinar on October 8, 2025, and it is free to attend regardless of whether you are an NBHAP member.
