Webinar: The Heads in Beds Model Is Dead

a graph going up with the title of the webinar

The traditional “heads in beds” revenue model is no longer enough to sustain a healthy behavioral health operation. Declining reimbursements, growing patient financial responsibility, and increased payer scrutiny have changed the economics of treatment. Providers must now rethink how they manage both patient and payer revenue across the care continuum.

As patients become responsible for a greater share of treatment costs, their financial experience becomes increasingly important to the organization’s financial performance. Yet many providers still address patient financial responsibility primarily after care has ended, when opportunities to align expectations, explain payment options, and address affordability concerns have already been missed.

This presentation explores how behavioral health and addiction treatment providers can build a more sustainable revenue model by managing Patient Financial Responsibility (PFR) with the same discipline, visibility, and automation as insurance claims. Attendees will learn how earlier engagement, connected financial information, and consistent workflows can help align patient satisfaction with stronger financial outcomes.

This session is designed for executive leaders, finance and revenue cycle teams, admissions leaders, and clinical and operational leaders at behavioral health and addiction treatment organizations seeking to improve financial performance while supporting a positive patient financial experience.

A sustainable revenue model must account for the patient as a payer. Providers need the leadership, processes, and visibility to manage patient financial responsibility throughout the care continuum.

This session offers a practical framework for strengthening financial performance while helping patients understand their obligations, navigate their options, and experience fewer financial surprises.
