Whether you are opening a new facility from scratch or concerned about the risk profile of an already operational facility, this webinar is for you. Prospective and current SUD treatment center operators should attend this webinar to learn from an expert on how to build a compliance program correctly from the start.

You will learn a high-level review of regulatory frameworks and practical steps for new treatment centers: from due diligence to state licensure to accreditation. In addition to new facility processes, there will be discussion of how compliance complexity scales with level of care. Pros and cons of the buy versus build decision making processes will be presented. In most cases, new facilities or acquisitions will utilize the phases of due diligence, licensure, and accreditation. Even if you already have a portfolio of existing facilities, understanding the implications of opening a facility in a new state is useful.

For existing treatment centers, you will learn about the negative cycle of risk and how to analyze and prevent compliance issues from becoming endemic. Descriptions of proactive versus reactive compliance will be discussed. The importance of strong policies and procedures will be emphasized. This importance is only overshadowed by the importance of a training program that appropriately equips your staff members with knowledge of what is expected of them, including checks and balances to ensure that processes are being followed. How to maintain inspection readiness will be described, as well as regular review cycles for key documents. The key decision of when to bring compliance in-house or whether to hire consultants will be discussed. Finally, the presentation will include concrete techniques for mitigating adverse events and non-compliance for your existing programs.
