Advocacy Alert: New Advocacy Webinar (“Moving On from COVID”)
July 29, 2021
As the COVID emergency eases, behavioral health advocates in Washington are left with two major policy questions: will we ever see a return to "normal" advocacy, and what does it mean for behavioral health?
The COVID emergency was a boon for funding, but now we need to return to advancing our policy priorities, which are needed more than ever in the wake of the pandemic. Demand for the services provided by our professionals is at an all-time high, and we must continue to advocate for policies that will enable us to build a workforce and provide the services that are in such great demand.
On July 27, 2021, BHAP's advocate Andrew Kessler presented the webinar "2021 Advocacy Update: Moving on from COVID". In it, Kessler updated us on the latest information coming out of Washington, DC, that affects the behavioral health and addiction treatment industry.
The recording is now available and is free to view. Additionally, it is eligible for 1 CE for only $25 – and BHAP members get that CE for free!
As the COVID emergency eases, we deal with how to advance our policy priorities.
A reminder that all of Andrew's advocacy webinars are free to view, and the one we did in February is also eligible for 1 CE. You can see them here.
