As a leader, how do you evolve and provide better leadership and support to your team?
This workshop focuses on leadership and networking skills that will assist in achieving further goals, such as leading retreats and conferences, developing networking groups, training and support activities. This session addresses how to expand the concept of leadership, how to identify and improve communication styles, and how to improve networking skills.
Attendees will learn the following:
- identify different leadership styles that are applicable to the work they do;
- summarize the importance of working on a strong leadership team and how to develop one; and
- reference keys points of leadership styles and the importance of having strong leadership in their organization.

Kristina Padilla
Kristina Padilla is a leader with the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), where she serves as the Director of Education overseeing CCAPP's Education Department.
She also is Director of Business Development for the organization, wherein she travels throughout California and the nation bringing addiction focused businesses together to promote the profession, increase access to services and improve the quality of AOD service provision through education, business development, and investment in quality programming. Kristina led California's innovative criminal justice program serving as the Offender Mentor Certification Program Director for three years where she managed 12 in-prison programs for training counselors. She worked closely with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) in California prisons for the duration of the contract bringing innovation and growth to the state’s in custody treatment programming. Kristina is also the Chief Academic Officer for the CCAPP Academy at CCAPP and Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Trainer.
