Licensed therapists often face challenges in navigating the rigid structures of traditional recovery models, such as the 12 Steps. While these programs have helped countless individuals, their inflexible nature can alienate clients who seek a more adaptable, person-centered approach. Enter the Trait-Based Model of Recovery—a revolutionary, evidence-based framework that is reshaping the way we think about addiction and mental health recovery.

This presentation will delve into the core principles and practical applications of the Trait-Based Model. Rooted in modern psychological research, this model goes beyond abstinence and accountability by focusing on each individual's unique personality traits as a foundation for their recovery journey. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach; it’s a customizable, strengths-based methodology that fosters personal growth and resilience while addressing underlying mental health issues like anxiety and depression.

Participants will learn how the Trait-Based Model equips individuals with the tools to uncover and harness their inherent strengths, such as resilience, empathy, creativity, and leadership. Through this process, clients are empowered to develop skills that not only improve their mental health but also foster long-term recovery, personal growth, and stronger connections with their communities.

This webinar will highlight the evidence supporting the Trait-Based Model, including measurable improvements in anxiety and depression scores among participants, as well as significant enhancements in resilience, emotional intelligence, and other key traits. The presentation will also address how this model is adaptable to various levels of care, from outpatient programs to private practices, making it a versatile addition to any therapist's toolkit.

Attendees will leave with practical insights into implementing the Trait-Based Model, access to resources, and a renewed perspective on how recovery can be more dynamic, inclusive, and empowering. Join us to discover how starting from strength can transform lives—and revolutionize the field of recovery.
