Advocacy Alert: TIME SENSITIVE — SUD Workforce Expansion Budget Proposal
March 5, 2020
by CCAPP.
The California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies (CBHA), and the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Program Executives (CAADPE) are proud to share our Substance Use Disorder Workforce Expansion budget proposal with you and we request your support!
The budget proposal will provide nearly $5 million in funding to educate and train new certified SUD counselors (request letter can be seen here for your review). We just learned this week that we are slated to be heard in the Assembly Budget Subcommittee 1 on Monday!
If your organization would like to express its support by signing the letter, please provide your logo and the credentials of the appropriate contact person for your organization to be included in the signature line, by Friday, March 6, 2020, at 5 pm.
We know this is a tight turnaround, but we ask that you consider our request if possible. Thank you for your consideration, and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
