Buddhism and the 12 Step programs are two powerful spiritual pathways that help end suffering. Practicing spirituality is critical for those in recovery from co-occurring disorders.
In Part II of this series, "Spirituality", Chris McDuffie continues from his earlier presentation on the synergistic commonalities between these two powerful pathways for recovery and relapse prevention.
Specifically, you learn how Vipassana, insight meditation, Metta, loving-kindness meditations, and Step 11 help cultivate love and compassion for others. This lesson will help clinicians, therapists, and clients to manage their emotions, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
