In Part 4 of this series, "Joy & Equanimity", Chris McDuffie informs counselors and therapists how to use both sets of teachings to help their clients manage greed, ill will and lack of insight.

- The essential core principles of the 12 Steps.
- How both Buddhism and the 12 Steps inform how to manage the suffering caused by greed, ill will and lack of insight.
- How to practice Mindfulness and Concentration meditations to cultivate insight and awareness.

Chris McDuffie is a chemical dependency counselor at AToN Center, a 30-day residential detox and treatment center for co-occurring disorders.
Chris is a retired high school principal and holds an MSW from Fordham University. Chris teaches Buddhist psychology, mindfulness, meditation. He is a CADCII, Chemical Dependency Counselor. He's lectured at universities around the world for the University of Illinois' Common Ground Research Network: The University of Vancouver, BC, The University of Amsterdam, The University of Cordoba, Spain and the Sorbonne.
