Webinar: Questions of Legality and Ethics in Behavioral Health Marketing

a pile of black question marks with a bright orange one in the lower left and a light blue in the upper right. 'Questions of Legality and Ethics in Behavioral Health Marketing'

Behavioral health entities continue to be in the news for legal and ethical violations related to their marketing and compensation practices. In this webinar, we'll discuss retargeting and HIPAA compliance, FTC rulings on legal Google Ads campaigns, the use of call centers, and compliantly compensating outreach or admissions teams.

Behavioral health marketing continues to be the black sheep of the healthcare world when it comes to marketing practices. One reason for this is that marketing practices such as conquest marketing (bidding on a competitor's name), results-based employee commissions, and paying lead generation agencies are all SOP in most other industries. When individuals from outside the space come in, they are unfamiliar with these very important legal points of departure. The same happens when a provider hires a marketing agency without specialized compliance knowledge regarding behavioral health. And then, of course, there is always the case of the provider desperate for admissions or more revenue that is pushing the line, trying to work within perceived loopholes.

This webinar will cover the relevant laws, recent court cases and legal filings, and best practices to ensure successful, compliant marketing for behavioral health providers.
