California Behavioral Health Association

The California Behavioral Health Association (CBHA), is a state association that represents community-based agencies and businesses that provide critical behavioral health services to over two million Californians. As the voice of their member agencies at the State Capitol, with state agencies, and at the federal level, they advocate for policies and funding that strengthen community-based behavioral health systems.

CBHA serves as a trusted partner and advocate for their member agencies. They provide them with a strong, united voice in policy discussions at the state and federal levels, ensuring their concerns are heard and reflected in legislation, regulations, and funding decisions.

Beyond advocacy, CBHA creates opportunities for members to exchange expertise, learn from one another, and stay informed on the latest developments impacting behavioral health care. Through regular convenings, webinars, and partnerships, they equip members with the tools and knowledge to navigate challenges and strengthen their organizations.

In honor of their 40 years of advocacy, they are honoring 40 Behavioral Health Stars: individuals and organizations who have demonstrated exemplary advocacy for the people of California.
